Overview
NewGen is HYPEBEAST Music's quarterly pick of artists on the way up. The Fall 2019 edition ran twelve of them.
The editorial team in London commissioned the portraits.
Approach
Drawn on iPad, one portrait per artist, with Teeezy and Gudda Mack sharing a frame. Same treatment as the rest of the series, because the point of illustrating a roundup is that twelve artists arrive looking like one feature rather than like twelve press shots gathered from twelve different places.
