What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help sites work, remember preferences, and understand how they're being used. Similar technologies (like pixels and local storage) do comparable jobs, and we refer to them all as "cookies" here.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings — every major browser lets you clear cookies for a single site or refuse them altogether. Google also offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics everywhere: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site works fine without cookies.

The cookies we use

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, which pages are popular and how people find us, so we can improve it. These are the only cookies this site sets:

Embedded video. Most video on this site is self-hosted and sets no cookies at all. A small number of case studies embed a Vimeo player; we load it in Vimeo's do-not-track mode, which disables Vimeo's analytics cookies. If you play one of those videos, Vimeo may still process technical data (such as your IP address) to deliver it, under its own policy.

Managing third-party cookies

The third-party services above set cookies under their own policies, which we don't control. You can review and manage them directly:

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site and the tools we use change. The "last updated" date above shows the current version.
